Your teeth are super important.
Invisalign® provides invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that will give you the beautiful straight teeth you've always wanted without wires or brackets. Best of all, no one can tell you're wearing them! Invisalign is great for adults and teenagers alike.
Wearing Invisalign® retainers are simple. You wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them to eat, drink, brush and, of course, floss. As you move forward to your next set of aligners, your teeth move little by little, week by week. They quickly straighten to their final position.
You only have to make the trip to our office once every six weeks to ensure that your treatment is going as planned.
The average treatment time is about 9-15 months, with an average of 18 to 30 aligners. Obviously this varies from case to case.
Visit the Invisalign® web site for more information.
If you have silver fillings, and are not pleased with the way they look, we understand. There are plenty of alternative, natural-looking materials to conventional silver-colored fillings. These cosmetic fillings are colored to match natural tooth enamel. Composite, ionomer, or porcelain are all some of your options. Call us for a free consultation, or read our information about fillings page for more information.
Teeth can become crooked, chipped, cracked, and even overlap as a result of many factors, including traumatic injury, bruxism (grinding) or even heredity. Cosmetic contouring can help in many ways, and can even improve your alignment, bite, and overall dental health. For example, an uneven or crooked tooth can be gently reshaped by removing a small amount of enamel, to correct the alignment.
Dental contouring can also be used for minor alterations like changing the length, shape, or position of your teeth with no discomfort to you. Quick and easy.
Bonding is an alternative to veneers. A tooth-colored material that is matched to the enamel of your teeth is molded and shaped, and then hardened and polished. Bonding can be used to improve the color of a tooth, or close gaps between your teeth. It is fairly simple, and can improve problems due to chips, gaps, or discoloration.
Bonding is generally not as permanent as a veneer, and can be vulnerable to the same kind of staining your natural teeth are prone to. Bonding can also be more prone to chips and cracks than veneers, so feel free to talk to us about your options so we can decide what is best for you.
If you have problems with all or most of your teeth, have teeth that have been lost due to decay or trauma, or have damage to your teeth from injury, grinding, or what we call "general wear and tear", you may be a candidate for full mouth reconstruction.
Basically we use all our skills ( crowns, bridges, implants, veneers, gum specialists, orthodontics, and endodontists ) to fix all the issues in your mouth be it your teeth, gums, and/or jaw to make them look and feel better than they ever have.
Obviously, this process varies on a case by case basis, and we would have to talk about and plan out your specific reconstruction. Reconstruction can help improve speech, bite problems, gum and tooth aching and pain, and even headaches!
Bridges are natural-looking dental appliances that can replace a section of missing teeth by "bridging" between your existing teeth. Because they are custom-made, bridges are barely noticeable and can restore the natural contour of teeth as well as the proper bite relationship between upper and lower teeth. Implant bridges are similar, but are attached to an area below the gum tissue or the jaw bone. These are a more permanent option, and look just like a real tooth!
Crowns are synthetic caps, usually made of a material like porcelain, which are placed on the top of a tooth. Crowns are typically used to restore a tooth's function and appearance following a restorative procedure like a root canal. Crowns are also used to attach bridges, cover implants, prevent a cracked tooth from becoming worse, or when an existing filling is in jeopardy of becoming loose or dislocated. Crowns also serve an aesthetic use, and are applied when a discolored or stained tooth needs to be restored to its natural appearance.
Lots of people inherit excessive or uneven gums. If you don't like the way your gums look, we can fix it. A cosmetic procedure called a 'gum lift' can be preformed to make your gums more aesthetically pleasing - lengthening the look of your teeth, and shaping your gums to give you that picture perfect smile.
Some abnormalities, as well as advanced gum disease that cannot be treated periodontically or non-surgically, may require application of soft tissue grafts. Such procedures can be used to cover an exposed root or correct uneven gum lines.
People who lose a tooth, for example, may eventually develop a small indentation where the original tooth was located; this sometimes creates an uneven or unsightly gum line. Even if the tooth is replaced, the preceding shrinkage of the gum may cause the replacement tooth to look longer than the others. Ridge augmentation can easily fix problems like these, and is a great option if you have lost a tooth or have gum line issues.
Dentures are designed to replace missing teeth, and are worn by millions of Americans. Technological advancements have resulted in dentures that are lightweight and mimic the look and feel of natural teeth. Most dentures are made from a combination of metals and synthetic materials like acrylic resin.
Denture candidates can expect to have their appliances fitted after about five visits, which takes about a month. First, a temporary set of dentures are usually applied so that you can ensure that the fit, color and shape are suitable. New dentures do take some time getting used to, give it some time.
Ask us for information about keeping your dentures clean and other care tips, or read up on denture care on our denture information page.
Soft tissue grafts are small pieces of tissue taken from other areas such as the palate that are surgically implanted in an affected area. Grafts can correct dental deformities and other problems like severe gum disease, as well as cover exposed roots, stop bone loss and the recession of gums, and even reduce pain-causing root sensitivity.
Gum tissue can change or even shrink for many reasons: receding gums (from gingivitis or periodontal disease), or loss of one or more teeth. Replacing lost gum tissue can restore the natural contour of your smile.
Implants are synthetic structures that are placed in the area of the tooth normally occupied by the root. Implants are anchored to the jawbone or metal framework on the bone and act as a foundation for an artificial tooth or permanent bridge. In some cases, implants can be used to attach dentures.
Implants mimic the look and feel of natural teeth, and are a permanent solution to missing teeth. They are usually made out of titanium and ceramics. Getting an implant can take several visits, in which we put in an anchor, allow this to heal, and then the artificial tooth can be fitted over the anchor.
Veneers are thin laminates that can be used to correct discolored, worn down, cracked or chipped teeth. Veneers can also be used to close gaps between teeth.
In just two or three dental visits, a veneer can reverse years of stains caused by foods, caffeine or tobacco use.
Teeth can become stained by many factors in life: food, drink, smoking, and natural aging can cause your teeth to loose that "pearly white" color we see on models and children.
With teeth whitening, we can provide a safe and effective solution to staining and yellowing. Making sure you use professional tools rather than home kits is important. Some home kits can cause damage to your enamel, and put your teeth at risk for cavities, sensitivity and more.
Infants should be seen by our office after the first six months of age, and at least by the child's first birthday. By this time, the baby's first teeth, or primary teeth, are beginning to erupt and it is a critical time to spot any problems before they become big concerns.
Make sure your child, no matter what age, is brushing their teeth regularly (babies can be brushed with special toothpastes or water). You can also check your local fluoride content to make sure your child is getting enough.
We also provide sealants for older children (getting their permanent teeth in), and are always here with 24 hour emergency services in case your child injures his or her mouth or teeth.

A well-fitted mouth guard can prevent serious injuries such as concussions, cerebral hemorrhages, incidents of unconsciousness, jaw fractures and neck injuries by helping to avoid situations where the lower jaw gets jammed into the upper jaw.
A properly fitted mouth protector is important for people who wear braces or have fixed bridge work. A blow to the face could damage the brackets or other orthodontic appliances. A mouth protector also provides a barrier between the braces and your cheek or lips, limiting the risk of soft tissue injuries.
Custom-fitted mouth guards are your dentist for you personally. They can offer a better fit than anything you can buy off the shelf, so they can protect your teeth and mouth better than any other, while being comfortable and less noticeable.
We are also fully prepared in the event that you loose or break one or more of your teeth. Sometimes accidents can't be avoided. We are available 24 hours a day for emergencies,
and will be there to fix you up and send you back out there.
Laser dentistry provides you with many options. We use laser dentistry for teeth whitening, gum shaping, and decay removal therapies. Lasers provide many benefits to other methods: they can often get rid of the need for stitches, anesthetics, minimize bleeding and infection risks, have little damage to surrounding tissues, and even help your wounds heal faster.
Lasers can help in detecting and filling cavities, whitening your teeth, fixing uneven or low gum lines (the "gummy smile"), fixing muscle attachments, reduce jaw pain, and can also remove soft tissue folds.
We use top of the line equipment to make sure you get the best results and are getting the benefits of the strides of improvement in medical research and technology. In case you are up on your equipment, and want to know what we use, here is a list.
